Ethel Witt-McCall, Executive Director

As visionary and founder of the National Association of Minority Meeting Managers [NAMMM], I envision an Industry that invokes a strategic alliance of Trust and Unity. This multi-cultural society is very lucrative and offers a plethora of diverse and minority based Industry organizations to join and partner with.

Successful Meeting Professionals have membership affiliation in more than one Industry Organization.  In this electronic age of communication, the use of telephones and computers are just a "reach away" to begin partnership relationships.  Always remember that Unity through Partnershp and Reciprocity is the key to a win, win business relationship!

Our Mission

The mission of NAMMM is to provide a platform of diversity and kinship through unity meeting forums, which will serve to empower minorities to seek reciprocity in contract negotiations, and site selections. NAMMM further encourages unity meeting forum attendance, conferences, newsletters, and National organization affiliation for continuous education that will aid meeting planners in their preparedness for certification in the field of meeting management.

Our Purpose

The National Association of Minority Meeting Managers (NAMMM) is a professional organization that provides education of minority-American (race, gender, color, creed, et al) meeting planners in all aspects of the meeting/hospitality industry:

IMPACT growth and leadership of minority-American planners by sharing the wealth of information and knowledge available from professional contact with peers, hotel and travel representatives, convention bureau personnel, consultants and suppliers.

EMPOWER and stimulate minority-American managerial employment in the hospitality industry by establishing business relationships where there is equity or positive patterns of minority hiring.

DEVELOP a network of meeting planner resources and opportunities to facilitate job referrals, exchange profile data of consultants, vendors, and other entities.

SEEK the cooperation of elected and appointed government officials to communicate the needs of the minority-American meeting planners in their local areas.

ENHANCE the professional status of minority-American meeting planners by providing CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) education for Industry designation at quarterly meeting forums, education conferences, newsletters, and National organization affiliation.
