Membership in the National Association of Minority Meeting Managers (NAMMM) shall be open to all persons actively engaged in the planning/management of meetings. This umbrella also relates to activities for business and industry, trade associations, professional societies, religious organizations, educational institutions, fraternal groups, labor unions and entrepreneurs.
Policies governing eligibility and participation of members shall be determined by the Board of Directors. The Board may also classify members based upon reasonable and uniform criteria as decided from time to time.
Membership meetings are two day, quarterly (Unity meeting forums) events held at different locations and venues. NAMMM membership dues are on an annual basis. There are three categories of membership in NAMMM.
MEETING PLANNER/MANAGER Persons actively engaged in planning meetings on a national, regional or local level; full or part time basis of any business firm or corporation. Shall be eligible to vote and shall be eligible for election to office.
SUPPLIER/CONTRACT ORGANIZATION Individuals of a business organization who promote and assist in the planning or implementation of meetings, conferences or conventions under contract or commission to planners or suppliers. Includes any business entities or individuals that solicit business from and/or provide facilities and services to planners outside of direct assistance in the planning and implementation of meetings. Includes hotel facilities, travel agencies, convention & visitors bureaus, consulting firms, registration services, airlines, printers, exhibit managers, security services, et al. Shall be eligible to vote and shall be eligible for election to office.
EDUCATOR/STUDENT Educators or students who cannot qualify under another category of membership. Shall not be eligible to vote and shall not be eligible for election to office in NAMMM. No "matching" requirement.
